We have two missions that we are combining - first; cheaper & energy efficient housing for the elderly on a fixed income (in an environment that allows them to enjoy their remaining life) and second; providing a sanctuary for women and their children, who have been abused and are seeking to change their situation. We will provide housing, counseling, and training, so that they can live a better life, being free of abuse and having financial and emotional security.
We are in the process of getting our status with the IRS changed so we can accept contributions to help get this project off the ground. We are planning on buying land and building cottages and a center with amenities in southern Nevada in or near Laughlin, Nevada, which is adjacent to the Colorado River. Laughlin is a small town with several large casinos so there is plenty of part-time employment for senior citizens.
At the moment, we are working on acquiring some of the funds to purchase land by assisting another service company that helps people to stay in their homes when lenders are trying to foreclose on them.
